Fresh from an ER visit, Anthony D’Amato spends his recovery stream attacking critics, vowing more copyright strikes, and telling unnamed people they “can’t hide forever”
“I’m Supposed to Rest”
Anthony R. D’Amato, Jr., the YouTuber known as ZeroDarkTony, opened his September 23, 2026 livestream with news that he had been in the emergency room after a panic attack he said felt like a heart attack. He told viewers he was supposed to rest for a couple of days.
He spent the next 50 minutes on his critics instead.
The stream follows a familiar pattern. When D’Amato is held to account, he recasts himself as the injured party. Here the hospital visit becomes part of that case. He attributes it to stress, asks his critics whether they want him dead, and presents his homeless pizza drive as the real target of their criticism. In the same stream, he announces he will keep filing the copyright strikes and privacy complaints that have already taken one critical channel off YouTube.
Hero Not Zero is among those targets. According to HNZ’s records, D’Amato has filed nine copyright strikes against the @heronotzeronetwork channel, which YouTube terminated on September 18, 2026. The affiliated @herolightcody channel has received two privacy complaints.
D’Amato said he passed time in the hospital watching a rival channel he calls “slop.” Back on air, he turned to people he says watch his streams from alternate accounts after being banned. He called them a “psychotic, obsessed, stalker piece of human garbage that would never, ever present yourself in front of me.” He speculated about one critic’s marriage: “That’s why their wife left them. If they even have a wife.” He asked, “Do you just want me to die? Is that it?” A minute later he added, “If I die, I’m gonna come back and haunt you.”
He closed by saying he would recover at a friend’s place and keep streaming from there. “You don’t think my friends don’t have a PS5, right?”

“Continue” and “keep doing it” describe a campaign already underway, not a response to a particular upload. He names no video and no copyrighted work. He directs the strikes vaguely to all videos rather than at an infringement. He follows with “Keep that clock going” and “Maybe go hate something else, you know? Because it just ain’t working.”
The rest he was prescribed comes first. The strikes come after.

The remark turns criticism of D’Amato into an attack on homeless people. He names no one and points to no attempt to shut the business down. He says it about eight minutes after pledging to keep filing the strikes and complaints that have already removed one critical channel from YouTube.

He tells them they “can’t hide forever” and taunts them for “hiding from the one you talk so tough about.” He names no one.
About a minute after calling one critic “the biggest bitch in them all,” he pauses to describe his own limits. “Would never want to get involved in another man’s life that deeply,” he says.
The record suggests the limit is flexible.
D’Amato has recently spent long stretches of his streams building a case that Dodge Landesman, an independent reporter who has covered D’Amato’s court hearings, is secretly SisterBrightZoey, a pseudonymous HNZ contributor.
The case leans less on evidence than on biography. In laying it out, D’Amato has told his audience who Landesman’s father is, where he once worked and how close that was to a Scientology building, the name of his aunt’s dog, and a random woman D’Amato says Landesman once appeared with in a play.
None of those details, as he presented them, ties Landesman to the account. They do establish that D’Amato knows the name of Landesman’s aunt’s dog.
In D’Amato’s telling, it is his critics who are obsessed. They are the ones who watch from alternate accounts, who “go after ZDT” for a living, who cannot let go. He made that case for most of an hour, on a day he said doctors had ordered him to rest.
By the time he signed off, he had described watching a rival channel from his hospital bed. He had vowed to resume the copyright strikes and privacy complaints once he recovered, and assured his critics, “We’ll get there.” Then he announced he would recuperate at a friend’s place, where, he wanted viewers to know, there is a PS5.
