Anthony R. D’Amato, Jr., also known as ZeroDarkTony, spent a sustained portion of his August 27, 2026 YouTube livestream proposing that his audience pool gift cards to offer Lara, a named bond co-signer, as an incentive to remove her name from a defendant’s bond. D’Amato acknowledged on stream that he was describing the arrangement as bribery.
“We’re Just Bribing. We’re Working on Bribing Lara”
D’Amato outlined the proposal across two segments, specifying PetSmart gift certificates rather than cash and estimating that contributions across multiple allied chat communities could total over a thousand dollars. He framed the offer as contingent: the reward would not exist until Lara acted. He also told viewers who were banned from his chat to go to other chats and relay the proposal to Lara directly, noting that she had a publicly listed email address through which gift cards could be sent digitally. D’Amato told his audience he would personally contribute: “I’ll tell you, even I’d throw something in there.” He then asked chat members to signal their willingness by typing “1” in the chat, so that, as he put it, “she could see.”
