Anthony R. D’Amato, Jr., also known as ZeroDarkTony, called California Child Protective Services on camera during a May 30, 2024 YouTube livestream and filed a report targeting a minor identified throughout the stream as Solomon. The same stream included statements about infiltrating rivals’ moderation teams, threatened legal action against Solomon’s parents, and included remarks about obtaining the minor’s private communications through litigation.

D’Amato opened the stream by tying its continuation to viewer engagement, telling the audience the CPS call would happen regardless but that they needed to hit the like button to watch it live. Once enough likes came in, he proceeded. He described the call as a response to what he characterized as retaliation against him for having filed a prior criminal report, claiming on stream that such retaliation is illegal.
After completing the call, he reported back to his audience that CPS intake staff had accepted the report, named William, Lara, and Scott as individuals he identified to the agency, and said he had provided the contact information of a detective named Gomez who he stated was already investigating one of those individuals. D’Amato also claimed on stream to be an ordained minister and a mandatory reporter, citing that status as part of his justification for filing.
Later in the stream, after chat indicated that Solomon had filed or was considering filing a police report against him, D’Amato responded with a series of stated legal threats. He said he would contact his lawyer and the police, threatened to sue Solomon’s parents, and stated that a civil lawsuit would allow him to compel production of Solomon’s text messages and online communications.
He also described the minor’s house and its contents in speculative terms, saying he would take them through litigation. D’Amato additionally claimed on stream that he or people connected to him had placed informants as moderators inside the channels of Solomon, Danny, Lara, and others he named as adversaries. He said, “my people are mods in all of your chats,” and told those channel operators to try to figure out who those individuals are.
