A California court granted ZeroDarkTony a five-year restraining order against a Louisiana man it had never fully heard. The record the court didn’t see comes from D’Amato’s own streams, sworn Louisiana police reports, and the public file of his recent criminal case.
Content warning: This article contains direct quotes from livestreams that include racial slurs, fabricated sexual violence accusations broadcast about a private individual, threats of physical violence, and targeted harassment of family members including a minor. These are documented in full because the documented record is the story.
On June 18, 2026, after a Los Angeles judge denied Jared Brooks’ emergency request to delay his hearing, Anthony D’Amato went live.
He had a lunch date to get to, so he would keep things brief. He wanted to get ahead of what “these idiots” were going to say. He described Brooks as a liar, a stalker, a doxxer, a psychopath, and a terrorist. He said the process server testified that Brooks had tried to ram his vehicle twice and followed him until police were called. He said the judge was “fantastic” and “done” with Brooks. He added a few more people to his subpoena list, pulling names from a rival’s chat while the stream was still running.
Then he went to lunch.
Four days later, on June 22, 2026, Judge Holly L. Hancock-Goode granted D’Amato a five-year civil harassment restraining order against Brooks. The order extends protection to D’Amato’s mother and daughter and runs through June 22, 2031. Brooks’ evidence was excluded as untimely. He presented none of it.
Brooks never got to present his case. What he might have shown the court is documented here. It was excluded because at each procedural turn in this case, he was denied the tools he needed to make his case. What follows is a record drawn from D’Amato’s own streams, sworn Louisiana police reports, and the public file of D’Amato’s recent criminal case in Los Angeles.
What He Told the Court, and What He Left Out
D’Amato filed his second civil harassment petition against Brooks on March 27, 2026. His declaration describes a content creator whose YouTube channel is his primary income, a man subjected since approximately 2024 to a sustained campaign of threats, harassment, and doxing by a dangerous Louisiana man. He describes fear for his safety and the safety of his mother and daughter. He states he reported Brooks’ threats to the LAPD, that the case was assigned to Detective Rachel Evans, and that Evans submitted the report to the District Attorney.
The petition does not mention that D’Amato is on active criminal probation. It does not mention that his probation conditions include an explicit prohibition on using or threatening force or violence. It does not mention that probation began on December 26, 2025, ninety-one days before he filed. It does not mention that on October 29, 2025, a judge in his criminal case issued a $500,000 bench warrant for his arrest after finding he had continued to violate a criminal protective order while on bond. The criminal case, number 24CJCM07073-01, originated from a 26-count complaint that included stalking charges and four counts of willful cruelty to a child. It resolved on December 23, 2025, with D’Amato pleading no contest to two counts of violating a court order obtained by a minor. No LAPD report, no DA referral number, and no documentation from Detective Rachel Evans appears anywhere in the court file.
The independent law enforcement documentation that does exist in this case was generated several states away. Between April and October 2025, the Slidell Police Department received multiple calls and complaints connected to the same dispute. The pattern they document runs directly counter to D’Amato’s petition.
On April 8, 2025, Slidell Police received a drug violation complaint at Brooks’ address, contact listed as “Tony / California.” Officers found Brooks in his vehicle with a valid medical marijuana prescription and closed the call with no violation found. The call was made while D’Amato was livestreaming on Rumble. That same morning, a separate caller who did not identify themselves by name requested a welfare check at Brooks’ address. Officers found him in good health.

On April 26, D’Amato called Slidell Police again, identifying himself as “Tony from California” again before eventually giving the officer his full name. He told the responding officer he was handicapped and afraid, that Brooks had threatened people on video chat and doxed people online and got people’s YouTube accounts deleted. He was “adamant that Jarred Brooks threatened him on video chat by saying he would send people to his house to beat him up.”

The officer informed him that no crime had occurred within Slidell’s jurisdiction and asked him for case numbers from the LAPD and FBI, two agencies D’Amato said he had already contacted. D’Amato told the officer those agencies had never gotten back to him.
In October, Brooks reported D’Amato with video evidence. On October 23, Brooks and his wife went to the Slidell Police Department and filed a report. They brought a YouTube video. Officer Chasity Howell watched it. Her sworn incident report documents what she saw: D’Amato making statements about “beating Jarred Brooks with a baseball bat and smacking Jarred Brooks’ head in a car door” and making “multiple derogatory comments about Jarred Brooks and” his wife. Officer Howell asked Brooks to email her the video for further review. When she attempted to open it, it was no longer available on YouTube.

None of this reached the court.
On Bond, On Stream
The April 8 Rumble stream, the same day as the drug complaint call to Slidell Police, documents what D’Amato was broadcasting while filing those reports. It ran more than four hours. He targeted Brooks by name, doxxing him with his specific neighborhood and street address in Slidell, saying: [^1]
“Boy I would snap your motherfucking neck if you fucking come up to me and talk that shit. I’d snap your neck like a fucking twig, bitch.”
“Come near my daughter. I’ll execute you.”
“I will absolutely fucking murder you right on the fucking spot.”
After the police call, he told his audience: “It’s not us harassing you, it’s just people are calling.” On stream that day, he also said: “People have every right to call the police on this piece of shit.” [^1]
D’Amato was on criminal bond with conditions explicitly prohibiting him from using or threatening force or violence. He continued streaming about Brooks through the summer and fall while that bond remained active. A stream in August carried the title “GROUND ZERO BRAKE LINE HITMAN.” [^3] On August 22, he addressed his own bond status directly, on camera: “Like me calling and reporting Cracky, that ain’t on my court orders. It’s like, I’m allowed to do that. I just want to let everybody know, like, what am I doing that violates my bond? Nothing.” [^2]
On September 4, in a stream that ran past seven hours, he told his audience that Brooks wife would have to quit because he’s not going to let up: “I’m going to keep my foot on your neck. That’s right, Cracky. Remember you said that about other people? Whose foot’s where? I think it’s my foot. How’s that taste, bitch?” [^4]
The following day, he addressed Brooks in a rant in which he talks about how he has monetized this content. He goes on to imagine Brooks’ murder and hopes he and his family all die. “You know what’s so funny, Cracky, is you’re probably going to be fucking murdered in the street.” [^5]
On September 16, he returned to the same register: “Cracky, if you want me to step up off your neck at all, even in the slightest bit, which I don’t know, it would only be, I guess, with charges or something.” [^6]
His bond remained active through all of it, and it was this kind of behavior that caused the city attorney to request his bond to be revoked. He did not show up to hear that motion, instead checking himself into a mental hospital instead. His bond was revoked and a warrant was issued on October 29 when he failed to appear for the criminal proceeding. His plea was not entered until December 23, 2025. His probation did not begin until December 26.
On February 22, 2026, fifty-eight days into that probation, D’Amato told his audience: “I don’t threaten to unalive people and I am in fear for my life. I don’t have a violent record.” During the same stream, he called Brooks “a terrorist,” “a piece of garbage,” and “an animal, not a human being.” [^7]
HERO / NOT / ZERO has reported on, and D’Amato has confirmed, that he has a history of domestic abuse, describing the crimes as “dismissed and expunged.”
What Brooks was responding to when he made statements D’Amato described as a threat, was in relation to the abuse described by D’Amato’s victim in that case. That context is not part of the court record.
“She Is Your Accomplice”
D’Amato had at times extended his focus beyond Brooks to Brooks’ wife, a woman with no documented role in the dispute and no platform from which to respond. What followed was not incidental commentary. It was a documented campaign with identifiable phases and a real-world outcome.
The first phase we cover ran through August 2025. In a stream on August 12, D’Amato invited his audience to imagine what it would be like to sleep next to Brooks’ wife, and described what he imagined in physical detail. [^8] On August 17, across streams that bore titles like “Deebo Kracky and his Gorilla Wife,” [^10] he referred to her as “the gorilla with the big bush,” compared her appearance to Wesley Snipes, then told his audience in the same breath: “I got nothing personal against [her]. I don’t even know her.” [^9]
On August 26, in a stream that ran nearly six hours, he broadcast fabricated accusations that Brooks’ wife had been raped by her brother, that her children were the product of that rape, and that Brooks had covered it up. He returned to the claims repeatedly, at one point spelling out the accusation directly: “Little baby grapes that his brother-in-law, you know what rhymes. Little baby grapes that [her] brother R-A-P-E-S. That’s right.” [^11] Brooks’ wife had no connection to D’Amato’s channel and potentially no knowledge that any of this was being broadcast about her. The following day, August 27, D’Amato told his audience: “Yes, I do anal [Brooks’ wife’s name]. That’s right. Anal [Brooks’ wife name]. Just like you say about my elderly mother. So I said this about your wife — what, you can’t take it now? You’re a fucking bitch.” [^12]
In the midst of this, he claims that he called Slidell police that very day to help Brooks. No record of this call was found upon request.
The second phase began in September 2025, when the targeting turned strategic. On September 11, he called Brooks’ wife “such an unfit mother.” [^13] On September 12, across two streams, he moved from commentary to operational planning. He addressed Brooks directly: [^14]
“If your lady isn’t fired because I’m getting a restraining order on [her] too. So if she doesn’t get fired because of this, because she is your accomplice, Jared, she is your accomplice, she is your financier, right? She is your Les Wexner.”
In the same stream, he announced plans to go after her collective bargaining agreement with her union. Then, in a second stream the same day: “I’m going to kind of own [Brooks’ wife] for a while, if you know what I mean. She good with cotton? Candy? Does she like candy?” [^15]
On October 9, he told his audience she “shouldn’t be working around kids.” [^16] The following day he called her “an enabler because she’s fucking retarded.” [^17]
Brooks’ wife works at a school district. D’Amato previously claimed that he filed a complaint with the school board attempting to have her fired.
Brooks had by early September announced his daughter would appear on his stream for an interview. In a September 8 stream, D’Amato told his audience: “Kracky, don’t bring your daughter on here. That’s a bad idea.” Then, a few minutes later: “I think if she comes on, she’s a participant in what you’re doing. So your daughter will also be getting a restraining order if that interview happens and she comes on the air and is a part of what you’re doing, Kracky. I’m gonna give her restraining order a restraining order, too.” [^18]
The third phase ran through January 2026, after D’Amato’s probation had begun. His conditions still explicitly prohibited threatening force or violence. On January 11, he told his audience: “[Brooks’ wife] is a co-conspirator and she finances all of his stuff. So if he ever gets in trouble, she’s going to get in trouble too.” [^19] On January 14, he told Brooks directly: “If I decide to sue you and fucking [your wife], that’s gonna be on there because that’s called tortious interference. So just remember that, you stupid fucking redneck, you fucking hillbilly, you fucking swamp-ass fucking creature.” [^20]
On January 18, 2026, day twenty-four of his probation, he told his audience: “The next time one comes, [she’s] getting one too. So if I decide I’m going to go do it again, which I can, [she’s] getting one too. And we’ll serve her at her fucking job.” In the same stream: “[Brooks’ wife] isn’t even walking fully upright yet. She’s got three more generations before she walks upright and has completely opposable thumbs.” [^21]
The following day, January 19, he announced to his audience that he had located a public website hosting Brooks’ wife’s photograph and would be showing them where it was that evening. [^23] He had previously showed it many times and released her work location and announced the complaint to her job. Then, on a separate stream the same day: [^22]
“Where do you think those papers are gonna get served Jared? They’re gonna get served at her job. Is that what you want because you are this motherfucking close to that happening. You hear that [her name]? You hear that, bitch? You fucking pig… this close, this fucking close. Let’s get it.”
That day’s content, across multiple streams, included at least four separate references to serving Brooks’ wife at her workplace and the on-stream publication of her photograph.
Day twenty-five of his probation.
On January 21, three days later, he titled a segment “Gorilla [Brooks’ wife]” and produced a song for her. [^24] On February 22, day fifty-eight, he told his audience he was living in fear of what Brooks had done to him, on the same stream in which he said he does not have a violent record. [^7]
The Subpoena Architecture
Running alongside this conduct, from July 2025 through the night before the June 18 hearing, was a sustained campaign of legal process used as a threat instrument against anyone connected to Brooks, discussing him publicly, or correcting the record about him.
By July 31, 2025, D’Amato was telling his audience that Brooks “doesn’t realize that he’s on my witness list.” [^25] By August, he had expanded the scope: “Kracky has opened the door for me to subpoena your accounts.” [^26] By September 1, he was telling audiences he could subpoena the private chat logs of anyone who had ever communicated with Brooks off-stream. [^27]
By March 2026, he was naming specific critics during streams, directing viewers to collect links, narrating detailed courtroom scenarios, and directing moderators to post Cash App and Venmo links for his legal fund in the same breath. [^28] In January, he had already promised to subpoena Brooks’ wife’s Cash App financial records. [^22]
On May 26, 2026, hours after receiving the TRO, he told his audience the order extended to “anyone associated with him in any way shape or form” and mobilized them to screenshot and report any mention of him across all platforms. [^29] The order contained no such provisions. A correction was posted in his chat that evening by someone who had read the actual document. That person was added to the subpoena list in his June 17 stream, the night before the permanent restraining order hearing, along with the rest of the “legal team.” [^30]
That same June 17 stream included subpoena threats against John Does 1 through 50 across Reddit, Twitter, Discord, and YouTube, accusations of criminal perjury against Brooks’ court filings, and demands for public retraction and apology. In a separate civil harassment case, Willens V D’Amato, where D’Amato was the respondent, he sought subpoenas to identify online critics through Google, X, and Reddit. Those subpoenas were challenged and quashed.
Brooks’ Evidence Was Excluded as Untimely
Jared Brooks is a Louisiana resident who has never lived, worked, or owned property in California. His central argument from the start of this case was that a California court has no constitutional authority over him: that an online dispute between a California man and a Louisiana man, conducted entirely over the internet, does not meet the threshold for personal jurisdiction. That argument was decided against him at the May 26 hearing in a single sentence, with no explanation in the minute order of what evidence was persuasive or why.
At each subsequent stage, his ability to contest the proceedings narrowed further. His first continuance request was denied. His second, filed the morning of June 18 as Post-Tropical Storm Arthur struck Southern Lousiana, was denied in a sentence. Governor Jeff Landry had declared a state of emergency for St. Tammany Parish and five neighboring parishes. A suspected tornado had tracked through Slidell’s Eden Isles neighborhood. Flooding closed roads across the area. Power was out across the parish. Had the case been venued in Louisiana, the courthouse would have been closed. Brooks appeared remotely via LACourtConnect, as he had at every hearing, operating on a cell phone with a dying battery.
His disqualification challenge, documented in Part Three of this series, was blocked at the service stage through three failed delivery attempts at the Metropolitan Courthouse between June 4 and June 12, culminating in a court staff member telling his registered process server that no one would accept the paperwork in the building. The ex parte application he filed June 15, documenting the obstruction with a process server’s sworn declaration, GPS coordinates, and time-stamped logs, was reviewed and denied by the judge he was seeking to disqualify. Her order striking his Statement of Disqualification noted that his declaration offered no explanation for the delay in service. The explanation was in his ex parte. Both documents are in the court record.
At the June 22 merits hearing, Brooks’ evidence was found untimely and excluded. He rested without presenting it.
The court that granted D’Amato a five-year restraining order on June 22, 2026 was presented with one portrait of the man seeking it: a content creator targeted by a dangerous Louisiana man, afraid for himself and his family, who had done everything right by going to law enforcement and the courts.
The record outside that courtroom tells a different story. It is the story of a man who, while on criminal bond with conditions prohibiting threats of force or violence, made death threats against Brooks on a Rumble stream while simultaneously calling Louisiana police on him for drug use and telling his audience afterward that people have the right to call.
Who told the police he was handicapped and afraid.
Whose violent threats were independently documented by a Slidell police officer in October 2025, who watched his video and found when she tried to open it again that it was no longer on YouTube.
Who spent months targeting Brooks and his wife with racial slurs and fabricated rape accusations broadcast to thousands of viewers, while telling his audience on that he had nothing personal against Brooks’ wife and did not even know her.
Who filed a complaint with the school board of the district where she works. Who threatened Brooks’ daughter with a restraining order if she appeared on her father’s stream.
Who published Brooks’ wife’s photograph online and threatened to serve her at her job, then told his audience that he was living in fear of Brooks and had no violent record.
Who added to his subpoena list nearly anyone who had ever criticized him.
On June 22, after the order was granted, D’Amato went live. He told his audience that he now has jurisdiction: that he can file on anyone, anywhere, regardless of what state they live in.
This is Part Four in an ongoing series. Part One, “Same Court, Same Problem,” covered the jurisdictional framework and the first dismissal. Part Two, “Same Courtroom, New Wrinkles,” covered the April 17 hearing. Part Three, “Brooks Invoked California’s Disqualification Statute,” covered the disqualification proceedings and the June 18 hearing.
